VRP chooses iMob Stock to digitalize their inventories!

Created 15 years ago, VRP is a public works materials and hydraulic parts dealer. Exclusive importer of the brand CASE in Switzerland, VRP took over MBA, iEnterprise customer, by the end of 2020. This buyout allowed the new company to develop a new strategy in Switzerland. The collaboration between IRIUM SOFTWARE and VRP's teams started in 2021, with the app for storekeepers, iMob Stock. Mr. Schranz, IT Manager, tells us more about his experience with iMob Stock.

Why did you choose IRIUM SOFTWARE?

We took over MBA in 2020, which made our company way bigger than it was before. MBA was already working with IRIUM, so we decided to change our ERP in VRP because iEnterprise was best suited to our needs. The goal here was to unify and centralize our datas on the same software.

During the iEnterprise demo, we already noticed iMob Stock as an interesting product for our activity. This tool was the key factor for us to choose iEnterprise as our new ERP.

How was iMob Stock implementation organised with VRP?

We get an appointment with an IRIUM expert and it went very well. I spent half a day with another storekeeper from MBA in Zurich to test the product on a test smartphone. Once set up, we started using iMob Stock on the phone to make some inventory.

When we understood and started to master the product, everything went very fast. IRIUM answered our questions, we tested the product and everything is working out well

How do you use iMob Stock in your daily routine?

We actually have 4 iMob Stock users : one is entirely dedicated to the inventories and he's happy about the product. Another user is using it everyday for flows on Reparation Orders . The tool is very helpful and makes us save a lot of time.

We are also using it for the walk-in service for hydraulic parts. The specificity about these parts is that this is not necessary to look for them into the catalogue, the part is directly available in store. That means that we have to use a very dynamic tool because the employee has to look for the part in our stocks, scan it and present it to the customer. And that is what iMob Stock succeeds to do in a very efficient way.

What functionnalities are you using the most?

The flow on RO is a very interesting functionnality for us. It allows the storkeeper to scan directly the outgoing part from the stock and then give it to the customer. The inventory function/feature is also a very good tool, we are using it daily. It allows us to always update our stocks and so to restock the missing parts and to give better information to our customers.

A word to describe the app?

Flexibility. Now we don't need any more paper, it makes us save a lot of time and money and makes us much more flexible. It allows us to update our inventory gradually. These small inventory series are established and achieved very quickly. For example, if the storekeeper wants to make a small inventory, he can do it, even if it is for some pieces in a small amount of time.

MBA have already adopted this system and are now doing their inventories every afternoon during 1h30. The storekeeper updates a small part of inventory everyday and is completly autonomus with the app. A real advantage for us.

How are you supported by IRIUM SOFTWARE's teams since you acquiered iMob Stock?

The follow-up is great. In general, the service is good and we have good exchanges. Whenever we have a problem, I can contact my sales representative at IRIUM SOFTWARE or their support and their reaction is really quick.
