Tractafric Equipment Corporation, an Optorg Group company, is a distributor of Caterpillar, SEM, Manitou, Kalmar, Powerscreen, Sullair and Allied Winch brands in the industrial, construction and mining sectors. It also engages in other activities such as rental, repair, maintenance of equipment, fleet management, training and deployment of its employees on current construction sites. The company is composed of several agencies spread over 10 African countries and also has agencies in France, China and Dubaï.
We had the pleasure to interview with the CEO of Optorg, Mr. Marouane, who agreed to answer our questions about the use of iEnterprise in his company.
The Optorg Group is a historical IRIUM SOFTWARE customer, which used an old version to manage its after-sales service in a decentralized mode, which then migrated to the iEnterprise ERP.
There are many reasons why we decided to take this step. The advantages we found in this software are very useful. The machine fleet management, rental and after-sales service modules are perfectly suited to our equipment business with native integration between these different modules.
In addition, the tool is well known by our employees, which facilitates deployment without any major change management project.
The tool is scalable and adapts very well to the requirements of manufacturers and the market we are dealing with.
The IRIUM SOFTWARE team is made up of experienced consultants who have the necessary knowledge of our business. They listen to our needs and provide excellent advice to our teams.
Today iE is used by more than 300 users in the 10 subsidiaries where IRIUM is deployed (Morocco, Cameroon, Gabon, Kribi, Chad and Rwanda).
On a daily basis, iEnterprise solves many problems. In particular, it enables automatic calculation of spare parts restocking requirements and simplifies the management of internal transfers between different departments (as well as the tracking of inter-agency movements, which is now done in a secure manner). Customer service times, from quotation to invoicing and delivery, have been greatly reduced.
We are now in a position to control changes and reduce time to market thanks to the centralization of the management of Data masters and rates. At the level of the different services, we have completely automated the management of KPIs according to the manufacturer's requirements and the data is accessible in real time.
Our technicians are now more efficient: the workshop schedule allows us to optimize the assignments of our technical staff.
All these modules and advantages allow us to save a lot of time and to avoid re-entering data so that we can devote ourselves more freely to analysis and management rather than to pure computer entry.
The software meets the specific constraints of spare parts management (in particular the management of Reman, hoses, replacement parts, prices, discounts, etc.)
The tool also has additional digitization modules that we plan to deploy in the future, such as inventory management, as well as certain modules that will improve the mobility of our mobile technicians. And still other functionalities which are essential for our activity like the traceability of the customer's machine park, a native integration between the various modules, an estimated and real financial balance per machine, ... And much more!
We are satisfied to have chosen IRIUM SOFTWARE for the management of our company.
We use the standard tool except for some developments to meet legal constraints by country.
In terms of project management, we chose our site based in Morocco to serve as a pilot site. This first test was then quickly validated and duplicated on the other subsidiaries.
iReporting is now used to provide our business teams with the necessary reports for daily operational management.
The software is very practical for our activities and is very scalable, which will allow us in the future to make further improvements to the software and further enhance our experience.
We use with satisfaction the standard interfaces that allow us to exchange data in real time with Caterpillar.
The "Olga" interfaces were put into production in record time and synchronized with the deployment schedule of our subsidiaries.
Several projects are currently underway with our IT teams, notably for the PIC (Parts Inventory Collaboration) interface, the e-commerce interface and a platform that allows our customers to track their orders, the Tracking Tool.
