Ouest-Agri, a John Deere dealership in Loire-Atlantique, Vendée and Charentes, volunteered to be our pilot site for the new solution iE. Equipped with the DMS iV4 since 2003, the group began the substitution of its DMS in April 2011.
Valérie BOUANCHEAU, DAF, relates her experience.
“When IRIUM suggested that Ouest-Agri be its pilot site for the starting of iE we didn’t hesitate because, during the product demonstration, we immediately detected its graphic and ergonomic aspect and its possibilities of evolution in the short and also in the long term.
Being a pilot site admittedly involves some risks, but since the start we were absolutely confident, we had no misgivings: we were sure no major dysfunction would happen, and we could at least find the functionalities of iV4 again, and all the data. Moreover, being a pilot site offers an advantage: we can examine the product in its entirety, and then we can put forward our opinion and ask some modifications and evolutions that are directly took into account.
The only pitfall we had planned was the hostility from some users who can be resistant to the modification of their work tool. But this phenomenon is inherent in any kind of changing in the company.
Just before the starting, the teams of IRIUM and Ouest Agri moved to all the bases so as to train the users. Those training courses worked with a test base, which was a copy of the production database.
The new graphical user interface of iE, with its attractive screens and its user-friendly functions, enables a quick and effective adaptation of the users to the product. We also noticed that our new employees had no problem to take control of the software.
We really appreciate how IRIUM teams harness their power in order to improve their products while being attentive to dealers’ needs”
IRIUM thanks Ouest Agri for its confidence.
