M. Florian LIZEE, Chief executive of MAC HOM TER, a company established in Maine-et-Loire, talks about the touch screen self-service module designed by IRIUM SOFTWARE.


Established in 1985 in Chemillé (France), the company MAC HOM TER manages 3 major activities: sales & repairs of agricultural machinery distributed by the brands Same and Deutz-Fahr, sales & repairs of garden machines sold by the brands Husqvarna, Iseki and Agria, and a DIY self-service operating under the Brico Pro brand. Today, the company employs 35 people (only 2 at first, when the dealership was just an agricultural machine repair shop).

In order to well manage its 3 activities, the concession MAC HOM TER has been working with IRIUM for more than 20 years. In November 2013, the company equipped itself with the touch screen self-service module so as to complete the functionalities of their software: iPro 30. According to Florian LIZEE, MAC HOM TER chief executive, “the touch screen self-service module enables a real time saving for the product return management. Thanks to the bar codes on the order forms, the credit notes are automatically edited. Moreover, we can easily change the payment method. We can also invoice workforce and materials in self-service, incorporate current delivery slips thanks to the bar codes, and so on. Compared to the classic version of this module, several new functionalities have been added, for example the button ‘subtotal’, the configurable ‘easy data entry port’, …”. The touch screen functionality of the self-service is much more user-friendly than the previous version. Indeed, it is simpler to access the functionalities directly from the screen, without being compelled to search for the function keys on the keyboard. The payments can be cashed more quickly and then the waiting time at checkouts is clearly reduced.


The company plans to go further in the computerisation of its business. “We are currently setting up the communication module which will enable us to save even more time by warning our clients when their orders are available thanks to text messages, or doing ‘SMS-marketing’ during a promotion” says Mr. LIZEE.
